EOCN takes part in the Conference of the States Parties to the OPCW

A delegation from the Executive Office for Control and Non-Proliferation (EOCN); headed by His Excellency Talal Mohammed Al Teneiji, EOCN Director, and members of the UAE Embassy in The Hague; has participated in the twenty-seventh session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), held from November 28 to December 2, 2022.

This participation is within the framework of supporting the efforts of the OPCW Member States in developing effective measures to combat the proliferation of chemical weapons and their financing, counter extremism and terrorism, and enhance national and inter-state capacity building for the implementation of the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention.

The Conference oversees the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention, and promotes its objectives and compliance in executing its provisions. The event also considers progress in the disposal of declared chemical weapons stockpiles by States Parties.
