A delegation from the Executive Office for control and non-proliferation (EOCN) has participated in the second meeting of the group concerned with enhancing the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Use, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons, which is being held at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva. This is to confirm the UAE's full compliance with all obligations assumed under the BWC, and to update national legislations continuously to be compatible with what is stipulated by international treaties and agreements.

The meeting aims at promoting the implementation of the Convention's provisions, encouraging support for peaceful scientific cooperation, promoting the principle of transparency and exchange of emerging information and techniques and striving for the universality of the agreement.
