The EOCN receives a delegation from The Center for Information on Security Trade Controls (CISTEC) in Japan

A delegation from the Center for Information on Security Trade Controls (CISTEC) in Japan; headed by General Manager H. E. Masayaki Nakano; and accompanied by representatives from private sector companies; has paid a visit to the Executive Office for Control and Non – Proliferation (E0CN). The group was received by H. E. Talal Al Teneiji, EOCN Director.

 

 

‏His Excellency Al Teneiji welcomed the visit of the CISTEC delegation as one of the leading specialized research and analysis centers on numerous peace and security issues related to export controls. The center also plays a prominent role in the governance of control and the application of best practices.

 

 

‏Al Teneiji has pointed to the depth and strength of bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and Japan, characterized by close historical ties and sustainable strategic partnership in all fields. He also expressed his aspiration to promote the partnership in capacity-building, exchange of information, experiences and ways to combat proliferation.

 

‏The two sides have shared experiences and aspects of cooperation to tighten export control and non-proliferation.  The gathering has also tackled ways to foster confidence-building measures between the two countries in respect to trade exchange, especially for Dual-use goods and materials.
